There are a lot of horse riding schools in the world, giving those looking for this service plenty to choose from. As you delve into this area, though, it often becomes apparent that many of the organizations you find are very specialized. Some will work with complete beginners, while others will want to train professionals, and it can be hard to find something in the middle. Here at Birr House Riding Center, we pride ourselves on being able to work riders of all skill levels, and can even support those who face extra challenges when it comes to riding a horse.
The majority of the students we teach have no prior experience in the field of horse riding. As this skill becomes less frequent, fewer people are getting the chance to enjoy it, and a big part of this is because they can’t find a place to get started. Our riding school has all of the resources we need to take you from being lead around a paddock to riding at full-speed, but we’re happy to take as much time as you need.
As you develop your riding skills, it’s likely that you’ll want to take it a little bit further. Competitions are an excellent way to approach this, with show jumping and races giving you the chance to build a deeper connection with your horse. Our indoor riding area is perfect for competition training, as it allows you to keep active when the weather is terrible.
Unlike a lot of other training centers, Birr House is a British Horse Society approached training center, and our courses can give you everything you need to start a career in this field. We offer courses which teach pony maintenance and care, along with options which can give you the skills to become an instructor. There are few better ways to embrace this sort of passion, especially if you’re still young.
Activities like horse riding can often seem impossible for someone who has a disability. We’re happy to offer disabled horse riding lessons in Belfast, though, and have spent a long time developing the resources to make this possible. Get in touch if you’d like to talk about getting involved with horse riding, as we’ll need to make sure that we’re able to support you before you book in.
Young And Old
It’s never too early or too late to get started with something like horse riding. When you are young, this sort of activity can improve your development, strengthening your body and teaching you ethics and compassion. As you get older, the benefits remain largely the same, but it will also provide you with a hobby which is very different from the time you spend in ordinary life. It’s rare to find a riding center which can teach your whole family, but we’re eager to offer this service.
Horses have long been one of humanity’s most treasured companions. Throughout the world, these animals are still an essential part of life, and learning to ride them can provide you with benefits which you’d never expect.
